Build Your GEWKC 2021 Agenda: Attend 100+ Virtual, In-Person KC Entrepreneur Events
Global Entrepreneurship Week – Kansas City has just released its online agenda of over 100 virtual and in-person events for 2021 that are built to inspire, elevate and make entrepreneurs more resilient for the future. GEWKC 2021 is poised to be greater than ever.
To make this year’s events accessible to any and every entrepreneur, most events are offered virtually, in-person events are spread across the metro and GEWKC is now seven days, from Nov. 8 – 14. All Kansas City events are free, and registration is currently open at gewkc.org. There, interested attendees can find a full agenda featuring every event.
Those who wish to attend must create an account at gewkc.org and add events to their custom agenda. This will enable attendees to either receive a link to attend a virtual event or instructions and updates for attending in-person events. Registering also enables attendees to edit and update their custom agenda.

“Our doers, dreamers and makers fuel the engine of economic recovery, so it’s vital that we help them get the skills and connections they need to create new opportunities and rebuild their businesses,” said Jenny Miller, chief organizer for GEWKC and senior director of regional ecosystem development at the UMKC Innovation Center. “When entrepreneurs have access to resources, they flourish, so we wanted to increase our footprint this year with events that can help everyone, no matter where they are located in KC or what stage their business is.”
This year, events will span five “tracks”: Startups, Scalers, Social Enterprise, Youth Entrepreneurship, and Inclusion and Entrepreneurship.
The metro’s largest celebration of entrepreneurship, GEWKC draws thousands to network, learn and connect, but Global Entrepreneurship Week isn’t just contained to Kansas City. It is an international celebration of the makers, innovators and job creators who launch startups and bring ideas to life in the small business community. The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation founded GEW in 2008, and it has since expanded it to more than 170 countries.
All GEWKC events were crowdsourced from local organizations and businesses, and the volunteer GEWKC organizing committee curated the final list. Anyone can use the hashtag #GEWKC on social media to promote #GEWKC events and connect with others participating in the week.
