Connect with Kansas City's Entrepreneurial Community Year Round
Wow. Just wow.
We had such an amazing time connecting with each of you at Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEWKC) last week. The GEWKC organizing committee was inspired by your intellect, awed by your ambition and tickled by your tenacity.
We saw so many new faces and are thrilled that Kansas City’s entrepreneurial family grew heartier last week thanks to you. Thank you to all of the trailblazing event hosts and each and every person who joined us to make #GEWKC one of the most magical weeks of the year.
What was your favorite part? Send us your thoughts.
Kansas City’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is buzzing 365 days a year. You can see all of the members of the network in the Resource Rail. And if you’re looking for connections tailored precisely to your needs, just drop us some info at our MyPlan page. (Want to talk to a real human right now? We do that too: 816-235-6500.)
If you’re hungry to keep the learning going and meet some awesome organizations in the network, check out these resources:
If GEWKC inspired you to get your business idea off the couch and finally launch the thing, then you need to download our startup ebook. You’ll see how Molly Bingaman got her start in the Crossroads and meet all of the organizations that can help you reach your goals.
Ready to make your big tech idea a reality? The startup guide for KC innovators is for you. GEWKC reminded us all that some industries need disrupting and tomorrow can be better than today, but only if you make it happen.
At GEWKC, Verne Harnish shared a shocking fact: a single hiring mistake can cost many times that (ex-)employee’s annual salary. If that makes dollars and cents to you and you want to hire right, download our guide.
There were a ton of great events during GEWKC. FYI: it’s like that all the time in KC’s entrepreneurial community. Keep the momentum going and visit our calendar to see everything that’s going on. There’s nothing better than regular engagement with a community to build accountability and inspiration into your life.
One last heads up before we let you go: this year’s events were completely crowdsourced. That’s right, the organizing committee just set the stage. It was entrepreneurs just like you who packed the play with wisdom, wit and wonder.
If you want to get ahead of next year’s GEWKC, you need to sign up for our newsletter. Early next summer we’ll start planning for GEWKC 2018 and between now and then you’ll get all latest on Kansas City’s entrepreneurial community.
And of course, be sure to join in on the #startupKC conversation on social media. You can find us (fun and friends) on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin.
One more time: thank you. GEWKC was special because you made it that way.
There’s still a month remaining in 2017. Don’t make getting started on your business a New Year’s resolution. Start now and let us know
how we can help.
