Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City: Starting a Business and Much More
We love Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) here in Kansas City. In fact, we love this week so much that we bust out the ordinary week into a full 13 days of inspiration, connections, celebrations and education.
Quick backstory: #GEW started in KC nine years ago and now spans the globe, with nearly 20,000 partner organizations planning more than 35,000 activities that directly engage more than 10 million people. KC hosts one of the biggest celebrations. Now you know.
Starting a business can be a dramatic endeavor: Our hero, the entrepreneur, takes a huge risk in order to solve an even bigger problem. Her journey is met with many challenges, including navigating the dark forest of potential customers and convincing the investor wizard to give her the backing she needs to succeed.
If you think that sounds like a great movie, or just love popcorn, head to the Generation Startup documentary on Wednesday, November 16, 5:30 p.m. at the Alamo Draft House.
And if the movie gets you pumped and ready to start your own business, be sure to make the most of everything Global Entrepreneurship Week Kansas City has to offer. Go to gewkc.org now to build your own #GEWKC calendar and check out these events you don’t want to miss:
