Wyandotte County, Check Out These Small Business Grants

The Unified Government Economic Development Department designed a new incentive pilot program aimed at providing capital to small businesses. Business owners in Wyandotte County will be eligible to receive one-time grants between $2,500 and $10,000 to invest in the growth of their business.

The pilot program will provide grants to assist with startup inventory, marketing, building improvements and other start-up related operating costs.

"We want to help stimulate growth and new investment in the community," says Charles Brockman, Management Analyst for the department of Economic Development.

The new pilot program was developed in partnership with the Wyandotte Economic Development Council, the Downtown Shareholders and other community stakeholders.

"This program helps shift the focus on providing more tools and incentives to support KCK's small business community," says Mayor Mark Holland.

For more information about the program visit the Unified Government www.wycokck.org/economic/. website or call 913-573-5730.
