Ready to take your microenterprise (lifestyle businesses with fewer than five employees) or Main Street (brick and mortar shops) business to the next level? Have a competitive spirt that’s motivated by cash?

You’re our kind of entrepreneur—and you’re a good fit to compete in the AltCap Your Business Competition.

Here’s the scoop.

AltCap Your Business Competition is designed to help entrepreneurs take their businesses to the next level with top prizes of cash and technical assistance awarded along with exposure for their business ventures.

Who’s eligible?

The business competition is open to any business owner or entrepreneur located in Kansas City, Missouri who meets the following criteria:

  • Entrepreneurs with a business idea must be ready to start operation within one year of the competition. Applicants need not have a finished business plan but must have either extensive experience or education in the industry related to their business.
  • Owners of established businesses may apply if their yearly revenue is $20,000 or less and they are interested in growing.
  • Must be a for-profit business.
How do you apply?

Applying is simple and free. Submit a 1-2 minute pitch video about your business idea and fill out the online application. The deadline is 5 p.m. CST September 30.

Finalists chosen from the initial round will be asked to submit a two-page business proposal along with a completed financial template that conveys the basic concept and future growth and profitability of their business.
