KCSourceLink is proud to partner with “City Entrepreneur,” a video series that showcases and uplifts Kansas City’s founders, innovators and investors.

Meet Raven Space Systems, a pioneering Kansas City company that has raised over $1.5 million for its revolutionary work in 3D-printing space return capsules.

Raven Space Systems is developing a new technology which enables 3D printing of aerospace grade materials for the first time ever. The company is focused on 3D printing heat shields for space and hypersonic flight applications, drastically reducing the cost and increasing the speed at which these unique materials are produced.

In 2023, Raven Space Systems was one of 14 companies accepted into the Amazon Web Services Space Accelerator, a technical business and mentorship program to help startups advance their space solutions and accelerate their growth. The company also received project funding from Digital Sandbox KC and another $50,000 grant from LaunchKC.
