City Entrepreneur: See How Startup Love Lifesciences Is Disrupting Health Care

KCSourceLink is proud to partner with “City Entrepreneur,” a video series that showcases and uplifts Kansas City’s founders, innovators and investors.

Meet Nick Love, the CEO and co-founder of Love Lifesciences. Founded in 2021, Love Lifesciences has developed a series of therapeutic agnostic, hybrid injection devices intended to reduce unnecessary pain for patients who must self-administer injections.

The injection process is tedious, can induce pain and frequently evokes anxiety and fear. The current system for injections further provides significant room for error with both dosing and needle stick injury. The process can be so uncomfortable that individuals often deny or discontinue these injectable care options. Combined, these problems lead to inferior health outcomes for patients. Lifesciences has redesigned the injection experience, providing patients complete injection control while limiting opportunity for error.

In July 2023, Nick and his co-founder, Bradley Cooper, closed a $1 million pre-seed round, led by the GROWKS investment group and Kansas-based angel investors. Prior to raising the pre-seed round, they received project funding from Digital Sandbox KC and another $20,000 grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce.

In this episode of “City Entrepreneur,” Nick sits down with Zik Nwanganga to discuss his entrepreneurial journey.
